I have a little message for you today regarding a New Year’s Resolution that’s going to be a little different than the normal New Year’s message.
Often times, many times… probably all the time – what do we think about after Christmas is over, the holidays are over, the New Year is creeping up – we think about ‘wow – what’s my resolution going to be this year?’
I don’t know about you but I go back to ahhh… What was my resolution last year? And are the New Year’s resolutions I’m making this year looking pretty much like the ones I made last year?
Well I don’t know if you’re different than I am but often times my new year’s resolutions are exactly the same from one year to the next.
So here’s my suggestion for you – my suggestion is No Resolution!
Don’t make a New Year’s resolution this year.
Often times because we are coming down from all the holiday excitement and shopping and family gatherings and friend gatherings and work gatherings – the last thing we need is the pressure of a resolution, right?
We need some time to be kind to ourselves, to decompress… to let taking care of yourself to come naturally.
Because often times our resolutions are about self care, right? Losing weight, stopping smoking, eating better, exercising more…
A multitude of things that we are not accustomed to doing… especially if we RESOLVE to do them, we probably aren’t doing them like we should.
So my suggestion for you this year – No Resolutions
Let yourself get through January and maybe even into February. If you decide you want to exercise – the gyms are empty again by February! I promise! You know that yourself, right?

I wish you a year of self discovery.
I wish you finding ways of discovering how you talk to yourself and how much of a friend you are being to yourself.
My suggestion for you for this new year is No Resolutions.
If you decide to make some changes, give yourself some time. Wait until February or March.
